ABOUT US AT CHALLENGE ACADEMY
At Challenge Academy we provide outdoor adventure and high ropes activities for all ages and abilities, from 5 to 85 (our oldest yet!). From individuals, school groups and clubs to children’s birthday parties, corporate team building and stag and hen groups, we deliver packages and bespoke packages to suit a wide range of customers, all at affordable prices.
We are open all year round for pre-booked parties, group programmes, corporate, schools, and mobile outreach. We open from February half-term to October for general bookings.
We’re based at Baggeridge Country Park in Sedgley, five miles south of Wolverhampton centre and easily accessible from Birmingham and Telford.
As a Community Interest Company (CIC), we’re passionate about providing affordable and accessible outdoor learning opportunities for our community and all of our profits are used to develop our site and continually improve the range of activities we have on offer.
We are building some exciting new ground-based adventures ready for when we open again in February 2020 and moving to an entry ticket and adventure token system. The entry fee will be £2.50 for ALL visitors (under 4s go free) and includes access to the activities on the ground and hot drinks at no additional cost.
Adventure tokens will be available to purchase for aerial activities (nets adventure and high ropes course) for £5 per activity.
The instructors are amazing and so encouraging when you have those occasional ‘I can’t do this’ moments! There are lots of them which means their organisation is second to none, safety is paramount and all this for a fantastically great value price! I didn’t know this place existed but I’ll be spreading the word, Thank you Challenge Academy!
Staff were first class, very patient and helpful. Safety is
Thank you to all the staff for a brilliant fun educational day! It gave our pupils with less confidence a chance to shine and our pupils with confidence an extra challenge. The teamwork involved has encouraged our pupils to support each other not only during physical activities but also during class lessons. We will definitely be returning during the summer as one of our invaluable ‘Sports Experience’ programmes
We think that we have the knowledge, skills, experience and attitudes required to make an impact. All of our staff, permanent and part time, are passionate about active outdoor learning and its’ far reaching benefits for lifelong learning.
